We are a small, focused consultancy that does one thing really well: helping organizations understand and optimize how they use disk space.
DiskAnaly started in 2019 when our founder, Marcus Reeves, spent an entire weekend diagnosing a "disk full" alert on a production file server at a Portland nonprofit. The 4 TB RAID array had quietly filled with duplicate backup snapshots nobody knew existed. After clearing 2.6 TB of redundant data and setting up automated monitoring, he realized this problem was universal — and mostly preventable.
What began as a side project offering weekend audits for local businesses grew into a full-time consultancy serving IT teams across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Today, DiskAnaly has completed over 3,200 storage audits for companies ranging from five-person startups to 500-seat enterprises.
We believe storage management should not be a crisis-driven activity. Our mission is to give every IT team — regardless of budget or headcount — the knowledge and tools to keep their storage organized, predictable, and cost-efficient.
We stay vendor-neutral, recommending the tool that fits the job rather than pushing a single product. Whether the answer is a lightweight open-source analyzer or a commercial platform with enterprise reporting, our advice is driven by your actual workload, not licensing agreements.
We do not resell software or earn commissions. Our recommendations are based solely on what works for your specific environment.
We never delete or move files without written approval. Every action in our cleanup plans includes a risk rating and rollback strategy.
One-time cleanups are a band-aid. We build policies, automation, and training so storage stays manageable for years, not weeks.
Whether you need a quick audit or an ongoing optimization partner, we would love to hear from you.
